The 2nd place Aromas entry was DQ'd recently, with the photographer not answering the DQ emails, even though he logged in during this period.
Maybe having a line in the 'My Stats' section for DQ status could prevent this in the future. If your entry receives a DQ request, a line 'DQ Status: Original Required' or something similar is displayed in the 'My Stats' section. As this section is updated at least every hour (or for addicted members, every few minutes!), a line suddenly appearing here would be seen as soon as you log in or refresh.
Other DQ Status situations it could show are 'Validated', 'More Info Required', etc.
I also agree with this suggestion. I am a new user (as the person who saw his picture DQ) and I think that this way is the best to make sure that you are 100% aware ot the fact that you have to sent the original picture for validation.
You know where you look on the "My Home" page to see how you're doing in the current challenge? That area is called "My Stats".
Top left corner of the "My Home" page. Only displays if you have an entry in a current challenge, and if you have ticked the "My Scores" box in your "My Preferences" page.
Actually, yes. I'm rather amused that my pic got a DQ request in an 'editing restrictions lifted' challenge, when the pic would be completely legal in a normal editing restrictions challenge!
Oh well, I must be too clever for my own good. Not that the score is reflecting that - tis headed towards being my lowest :)
