Ooh, one more word of warning (yes, I know this thread is long dead, but I thought I'd post it anyway)... After going mad for a day or two taking macro shots, I found that my sensor and mirror had accumulated some quite noticeable dust bunnies. I managed to clean it easily with a blower, except for one stubborn spot which will have to wait a while until the dust gets bad enough to try cleaning it properly. Anyway, I won't be doing this again in a hurry until I can try the double-lens method. Just thought I'd let you all know. :)
Oh, and the camera was switched on and off many times, with zero noticeable effect on the dust, so I'll put my name down on the list of non-believers in the 400D dust removal system. |
