We went out shooting today and the tulips are perfect. We did the normal stuff in DC and Virginia, even got some squirrels gone wild pictures. All in all a great day, maybe even do a repeat tomorrow. But my real purpose is to share this little DC treasure with you all.
this place was so beautiful today, that I can not.. not share it. The Franciscan Monastery located by Catholic University has the most amazing tulip gardens. There is so much to capture there that you all most don't know which way to turn. I suggest going on Monday if you can because I notice that tomorrow has several photo groups coming through.
They allow you to use flash in the chapel but my 30mm 1.4 did a fine job without it. A 2.8 should be fine as well.

Even as amazing as the tulips are the gardens are splendid from now until the first frost.
So bookmark the site for future reference and go there if you get a chance.
I really hope that some of you get a chance to come see it before the tulips fade
