I HATE SOFT FOCUS!!!!!!! With a passion after this last week but because it was something that I should learn I was determined to conquer this! Guess what? After 163 (I counted them) different shots of the same thing, different lights, settings, angles and such I THINK I have a shot I can live with. But to be honest, to me soft focus is fuzzy which something that bothers me a bit.

I feel for you! Me to. I cut up my wife’s pantyhose and not one picture is any good. Ended up wiping em all out. I’ll sit this one out.
I found a genital breath on the lens works well too.

I think i'll join the soft focus haters club. I tried about 200 shots using a cut up knee high and the gentle breath method. I don't like any of them much. I feel that with a lot more practice I could become competent in this technique but still wouldn't like soft focus pictures very much. But my frustration is small because the challenge forced me to try something new and I learned about something I never would have bothered with otherwise. Thanks dpc.
Technically, this one may not be a "soft focus" shot but its the closest thing on my fav list:
I found dish detergent smeared on the UV lens worked okay. Of course, I just found this out a few minutes ago, and I don't know how well it will clean off, so, I may be adding something to my Christmas list. :-/
I entered, I'm scoring low (which I expected) and the only reason I entered is because after taking all those shots all week long my model would have killed me if I didn't enter something! :)
Thank you Cool for putting my pic up. I have no idea what I did wrong, but one of these days I'll figure it out.
I did not enter the "soft focus" challenge because I think soft focus only looks good on a few things and if it isn't done right then it just looks blurry.
I took a fast run through on the challenge pictures and just looking at the thumbnails makes me think there is more blur than soft focus, but who am I to judge.
