I am reaching out to my friends and fellow photographers and asking for your prayers and positive thoughts.
About a month ago I started to have some really bad headaches, to make a long story story short after a series of tests and scans I have been diagnosed with a brain tumor specifically on my pituatary gland.
The pituitary is a pea-sized organ in the center of the brain above the back of the nose. It makes hormones that affect other glands and many body functions. Most pituitary tumors are benign (not cancer). My tumor is about the size of a golf ball.
The hard thing is my tumor is causing constant headaches and some vision loss, so I have opted to have surgery to have it removed because I am no loger allowed to drive my car or work at my day job. My surgery is scheduled for next Thursday April 19th.
I am asking for your prayers and positive thoughts during my surgery and after care, recovery time is 4 to 6 weeks post surgery. I apologize for the depressing story but I really need support right now, thanks for taking the time to listen.
You will have my constant thoughts and prayers throughout, Bob. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you as well. Keep us posted...
Wishing you all the best for your surgery mate and the best thing to do now is to relax yourself, try some YOGA and meditation (Im not joking Im serious it's VERY good for mind/body/soul)
I feel totally positive that we will soon have you back snapping away like a trojan warrior.
Bob
I have 2 friends who have had the same surgery and are doing fine today. I will be praying yours goes as well. Looking forward to seeing more of your shots in the challenges to come.
my thoughts and prayers are with you, Bob. i know God will hold you in His healing embrace and that everything will be just fine. keep us updated, ok? *hugs*
Bob, many prayers to you for a speedy recovery. It's comforting to hear that it is operable and are able to remove it. From what I've read, some brain tumors are inoperable due to being in an extremely delicate area. Also, keep comfort in knowing that brain tumors rarely metastasize, and do not spread throughout the body like other tumors. Keep your spirits high, and please keep us informed of how you're doing.
Prayers for your peace and calm during this and for a most speedy recover. Prayers to give your surgeons and doctors healing hands and wisdom. Best of wishes.
