I have my first shoot tommorrow or Thursday for my cousin and his fiancee to shoot their engagement photos and most of the ideas I have are fairly generic I think, so if you could post some links to things you guys have shot that would be great. We are shooting at the place where the ceremony is going to be held if that gives anyone ideas. The main use of these photos will be for for the "Save the Date" card getting mailed out to everyone. They have a friend who may want to have their photos taken by me but I don't know prices that well yet, I was thinking $100 for the shoot plus prices for prints. Also where do you get your prints done, I was thinking mpix, but open to suggestions. Any suggestions or links to pricing, or what you charge would be great. If you don't want to put your rates out on the forums, feel free to PM me. Thanks to any help/advice you can give.

Posed shots seem to be a necessary evil but many people are trying to avoid that a bit these days. If possible ...let people have their fun and try to capture their joy...pure and simple.
Anyone else have some photos they want to post or links to outside portfolios? I have a few hours before I have to go. Or any advice on how to shoot them, I am just gonna wing it, but and helpful hints would be great.
My advise is just to take it fairly casual. I prefer to just put my couples in situations and give them time to let their personalities come out. Then I just tweak them a little. The more comfortable they are with you the more natural they will be and the better the pictures will turn out.

here's one I love! Just get them under a flowering tree and have someone shake it! so beautiful!!!
excellent ... but those are more like foreplay photos than engagement photos. ;) Then again, they'll be nice for the groom to look back on after a few years of marriage! :D
Got to some more editing, thanks for all the examples, I studied them all :). Here are some of mine, I also just calibrated my monitor for the first time, so if you see any major color problems please let me know. Thanks everyone.
