There's been a lot of discussion about what the WPL will become when it is integrated into the site. Here's some information on what we're planning:
- We're sticking with the general format of the WPL as it exists now.
- We'll have team profiles much like user profiles now with scores, history, etc.
- It's adjustable per season, but a team can have up to as few as 5 team members or as many as 7 for the first season.
- When it launches, there will be a signup phase where captains can create their teams, send invites, and team members can accept these invites.
- A single season will only support 24 teams. Any team that is not finalized (meaning all members have accepted the invite) in time will not be able to participate and will have to wait until next season to try again.
- Only Members can be team captains.
- Registered Users can participate as team members.
- Teams that don't place in the top 5 for the season will be dissolved, and the captain will not allowed to compete in league play for 2 seasons.
- A regular season will last 5 months, so we'll 2 seasons per year with a month break in between.
- Team captains will be able to see the entries, scores, and comments of all other team members for team management purposes.
- Team names must be 1 word and cannot contain a number.
- If one person on the team received a DQ, every other member of that team will also receive a DQ and the penalties that go along with that DQ.
- Players competing in the WPL will not be eligible to win real ribbons and will be placed separately in the challenge results.
- Captains have the power to DQ any one photo from the opposing team during the 5 minutes leading up to rollover.
- All this should be ready for launch on December 1st, 2007.

I don't know, Judi, even though technically "untouchables" is one word, it is in reality more than one, being plural and all, so I don't think the name will be legal.

Technically, that's one word. To validate this, I used the word in a sentence and had my word processor count the number of words. It treated Dodge-n-Burn as one word.
