Hey Guys, thanx to everyone who came today,
Owen, Keith, Roz, Greg and Shez. And keith again for coming back and bringing the boys. Also a thanx to Ray,for turning up for his first early morning shoot.. only a small group but a great group..Next time will be a biggun'....Here are a couple from 2day

We had a great day together, and once again I thank you so much for your friendship and wonderful help you gave me today, at our Sydney GTG at the Rocks.....
i didnt take a good shot all day!!.. of course if i had been using my own lens i would have taken at least one!!!
have just done some simple edits on us rather than the scenery, which just didnt turn out ...
thankyou owen for letting me use your lens .. i'm not so sure now if its the lens i want after all .. its so different from mine and having to physically move quite a distance away to fit the subject in the shot i was finding a bit of a pain ..

this next one of you and your lens wouldnt be to everyone's taste, coz of the processing, but i thought the lens by itself was a bit suggestive, so i overlayed another photograph of you taking a photograph of me ..
thankyou keith for taking the time to explain about metering and zooming .. i'll be giving your advice some thought, which as you know isnt my forte!! .. the thinking bit ... i'm quite good/experienced at taking advice tho ...

this is everyone, except me coz i took the pic ... was obviously having a lot of trouble with the focus ... would've been a great shot if i'd been using my own lens! ...
and shez, its not a great one of you so if you want me to take it out let me know and i'll do it .. think i overdid the airbrush on this one trying to compensate for the shot being out of focus ...
EDIT ... many hours later ... just thought i'd add that i've done a kodak airbrush to all these images .... be great if you'd do the same for me ya buggars!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Damn...wish I was there...! It looks like you all had such fun. I have followed your GTGs for a while now. It has been great to see all the images and hear all the stories...thanks folks!

i can sure crop a whole heap after using owen's Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro without my image losing its sharpness and quality which it would do with my tamron ...
i'm still considering the 100mm ...
hey owen .. maybe you should send down THE BIG ONE for me to try for a week or so!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Thanks Brett for the invite to the GTG last Sunday and thanks to Owen and Keith for their company. It was a nice way to atart a Sunday and get some OK shots away as well. See the rest of you next time.
Arrgghhh!!!! Look what happens when I don't log on for a few weeks – you guys go and organise a GTG on a day when I'm sitting around the house doing nothing. I've moved into the new house, unpacked the camera but haven't got broadband connected yet so my only internet access is at work and I don’t really have much time there to browse through the forums.
I'll have to keep an eye out more often for these threads – but just in case I miss it can somebody PM me?
Here are some more wedding photos and love to know what you think about them.....
Please remember my size often gets in the way, re the angle in which I view people, when taking photos, especially when they are standing, as I have to then look up at them.
This is why my images sometimes look differant to the normal positions and angles, one takes photos.
I would never consider taking wedding photos as a job, as it would be just to strenious and difficult for me.
I like what I did here, in taking some really nice candids.
