Once again, I'm left wondering what's going on. A low score in the Scents/Aromas challenge so far, with 70 votes - and 1 comment. Unreal. At this point, I'm beginning to wonder why I even bother entering challenges when my fellow members can't even offer up a comment. Very frustrating. I don't expect my image to be in the top 10, but I considered it much better than the score it currently has. I guess entering a challenge just isn't going to provide me with the feedback I'm looking for. Leaves me wondering... again.
Ten, it's only been ...? not even 24 hours. Some people are at work, sleeping, and some don't vote till the last day. Also in the US it's a holiday. I have voted on 50% and commented on 20%, I'm not finished. Don't get down hang on. P.S. also some will still be voting on the other challenge....Surprise.

I know the feeling and have the same thoughts as you.
Yes, I vote numbers, then use the sorted view to adjust votes and add comments at the end. But I have only voted a dozen or two at this point. There are a lot there.
Well, I just received another comment - and it suggested more contrast -and when I upped the contrast and sharpened the image in Photoshop, I saw a much, much better image. I'm going to have to make sure to thank that person. Now I see why the image isn't doing better. Much improved with a little sharpness and contrast. Drat! Well, lesson learned.
I’ve got 7 comments and 70 votes. If you want to get lots of comments be sure not to make your picture fit the challenge in a painfully obvious way. You will be sure to get lots of comments from people to inform you that your picture doesn’t fit the challenge ;)

What can I say? 79 votes and no comments. And the 80th vote I get a comment. Very positive, only I’m sitting at 4.8. I hope it goes up because the photo isn’t that bad. I even bought a tripod and a shutter release. I’ll probably find out I did something wrong. I even thought I got some of that glitz and glamour that’s loved on this site. Woe is me.:)
I found a few images "off topic" and voted/commented on them as such. If you're one of them, and would like to PM me your explanation of your photo, feel free. I'll probably change my score for your photo if I can understand how it fits into the challenge.
