There seems to be a rather disturbing trend of seeing a certain Kiwi character holding both blue ribbons at once.
The only solution I can see would be one of the following. I think, in order to not make things overly complicated, we should limit our options to the folowing:
1) Fill Kiwi's camera with rice pudding and throw it in a lake
2) Fill Kiwi with rice pudding and throw him in a lake
3) Make the next challenge "Take an interesting photo of Kiwi being thrown in a lake" (that will make it harder for him to enter)

He'd probably take the first photo and prompty remove his pants and walk around naked for the entire week knowing that full frontal nudity is not permitted and thereby disqualifying all the other photos. (Well, except for the half a dozen photos that have nothing to do with the topic)
Judging from his various profile pictures, the guy likes to drink mass quantities of adult beverages. I'm thinking of following in his path to success.

I always seem to get the bum end of the deal :-( I noticed I never got offered any rice pudding of chocolate icecream. But plenty of offers of being thrown in a lake or eating my camera tho. Sniff sniff...

It was illuminating to read that even Kiwi isn't very interested in shooting the sort of excellent stock photos that he wins with all the time here.
Is something messed up, if people have to shoot stuff that they know only has immediate impact but doesn't hold much interest for even the photographer, just to win here ?
Somehow, if even the photographer is saying he finds the winning pictures he takes uninteresting - something is wrong.
It was illuminating to read that even Kiwi isn't very interested in shooting the sort of excellent stock photos that he wins with all the time here.

I mentioned in the comments to my last photo that the kind of stock photography I take for DPC is not really the kind of photography I enjoy most. I only do it because I know that it is what is scored highly and that is my main objective here. I want to score high which I think is the main reason we submit photos to challenges. If you go through all the challenges and see what is in the top 20 of the results you'll see that it is mainly studio set ups and stock photography. So I figured if that is what does well then I'll do it too.
What I love to do is life photography, wildlife, nature, architecture and street life. You'll see a destinct difference between my portfolio pics and my DPC entries on that aspect. Most of this kind of photography does not do so well here and I am so amazed at the quality of pics that end up way down the field. This to me is probably the true meaning to the title of this thread.
