This is a good example of why people are so divided on the editing debate.
These two photos show no signs of excessive editing, in fact if they were entered in a challenge they would be unlikely to receive a DQ request. This is peoples fear - you have a greater mastery of image editing than they and you therefore have an 'unfair' advantage.
You haven't created a 'Frankenstein monster' montage nor have you over-used filter effects, what you have created are pictures which are true to your perception of the scene. In my mind this is true to the spirit of photography and is as valid as the limited toolset currently allowed. |
