Ditto this for the GTGs I've attended. It's not that I don't enjoy being around other photographers, but for me those are more about the social aspect than the photographic.

I go both ways (LMAO!!!). Most of the time I shoot alone and find that I get more out of the experience. About once a month I'll go on "outings" with the local photography club, but it's definitely more of a social get together than anything else. I definitely learn from the experience and talking with other shooters, but it's a different kind of learning. Sometimes I'll drag my husband or my son along, but that's just so they can carry all my gear :D

I enjoy my own company, so I tend to be quite happy wandering around alone. I don't enjoy going out with a non-photog and having to explain every few minutes why I am stopping and what I am doing.

I do like going out sometimes with another photog, especially if it involves a long journey, get someone to talk to there and back. Also, it is good comparing shots and settings during and after a shoot. This is normally when taking pics of general subjects. When I am doing Macro, I like to be on my own, as most of my shots are of plants, insects etc.

But, I guess I swing either way, depending on the situation and the company :)

Almost always alone, or with Alex if we're out somewhere. It's very relaxing, feels like down-time, is a solitary endeavour (at least the stuff I shoot), and is likely extremely boring for others. Maybe even other photographers. Not everyone has the same eye for the same things.
