I've just been hired by one of the largest financial services companies in South Africa to be the photographer at all their functions! This is huge for me!

At present, I work for the company and took some pictures at the company soccer day last Friday. They put my pictures up on the company intranet and all over the in house TV system. So, today the PR Manager asked me if I would be willing to be the company photographer. I will be paid for the photography apart from my current salary.
Sport events, corporate functions, like golf days, seminars and so on.
The impact of this is that I will get some very valuable experience with corporate photography. Doing the photography for the company's PR material and advertising. Which in turn could lead to other people and companies seeing my work and hopefully hire me to do their work as well.
Hopefully with the money I make here I will be able to upgrade sooner to much better equipment. I'll also need to get portable studio lights and so on as part of my equipment.
This will be part of and a step to where I want to be. I'd like to be a full time photographer soon, so this can only help to get me there.
