I'm preparing about 8 shots for a photo frame. I'd like to get them all to have the same tone. The shots below were edited with levels, and curves. Saturation was taken all the way down. Color balance was worked on but can't get them to match. I'd like the others to match the picture with the horse.
Any suggestions on getting totally different "starting" pictures to have the same or nearly the same tone?
in my experience, if you know the levels of saturation hue, brightness, of the one you want them to match, if you start from a completely desaturated picture, you should be able to make them mostly match. that may just be me though, you'd have to worry about brightness/contrast anyway... maybe try it?
Yes...I did the exact color balance on both and tried working from there. They actually look closer in tone when sized to 600px and saved to web. The actual shots in full versions are IMO pretty far off.

I just tried it myself, and they look pretty close, but if it doesn't work out on the larger files then i don't know what to tell you.
good luck finding someone who knows a bit more :)
