This week I'm joining the no entries club. I'm afraid of equaling my dismal "Book Title" score or not equaling my pretty good "Sacred Place" score. Oh, and I didn't like any of the ideas I conjured up.
Well I expect to start out around a 5.2 with 3 votes drop to about a 4.6 and finish somewhere around a 4.8 with approximately 127 votes.
I won't guess how many comments I will receive but I do expect these comments..."I don't get it. It's oversharpened. You got a hot pixel there. The lighting is bad. I don't see how this meets the challenge."
Yeah it is going to be a long week in the literalism challenge for me.
I think this will be one of my best yet and I am actually counting down the hours until the votes start rolling in. I think I will be breaking 6 for the first time. It's all a matter of what people put their emphasis on. The photo itself could have been better, but the idea and execution of the idea is my best yet.
EDIT: I also think I will be breaking my record on comments with at least 20.
I am hoping to make the 6.0 mark with mine, which is now always my goal (have reached it twice, and the book titles one will make a third, and my highest score yet).
Having made that guess, I am usually way off the mark with my photos, and far better at scoring other peoples and coming close to their eventual average.
Ones of mine I have loved and expected to do well have flopped. My entry for book titles, I was hoping for a 5 and it is sitting at 6.5 and by far my best score ever.
I think it is always easier to look at someone elses photo as you can do so more objectively.
I have a variation on this game. Guess how many photos YOU can constructively comment on. I am going for 35% this time. So far I've done 30 of 109 in Sacred, and 49 out of 234 in Book Titles.
This is one "bet" you can actually make yourself win, and do the community a service while winning it. :-)

I predict Jacko is clairvoyent ... I'm really not big on guessing what my score will be... because, whatever I guess I know that it won't be right because of the DPC voters... but... I suppose I'll go with somewhere around 5.9253 159 votes 16 comments... yeah... thats pulling it straight out of my butt... but with DPC you never know! hehehe... my first entry in over a month!
10.0 and anybody that doesn't vote 10, must be artistically challenged and unfit to vote anyways... ;-)
Then again, if anyone votes a 10 on mine I'd seriously doubt their eyesight. I couldn't seem to get something to come together, but I'm tired of sitting on the sidelines. Sooo.... what I get it what I get. If I make it into the top 2/3 I'll be happy. Top 1/2 or better will be gravy. Dead last would be what I deserve, but nobody hopes for that.

I just got all the sacred done, took me all week, but I did it! I have decided that anything with less than 150 entries I will make every effort to comment on all of them.
Well, if I had time to come back before the voting started I would have predicted at least a 5.8 and 8 comments but now, after 12 votes I'm sitting at a 4.75.................OUCH! Ah well, the first comment was very informative and well received. I didn't have the time to do the post editing that I would have liked and now I shall pay for that!

Well, surprise, surprise... I now have 6.1782 after 101 votes, but only 5 comments. Looks like my vote prediction was too low, and my comment prediction too high. Don't mind that one bit.

23 comments and 6.542. Right in both counts. It's easier when you say "more than" rather than guess an actual score. ;)
