something wrong with my camera? can someone help?

i am not sure what is goin on with this photo, but the bottom left corner has a lot of red. this red haze is showing up in the same spot of my camera whenever i do long exposures like this one. this exposure was 15 minutes. does anyone know what could be wrong?

i guess the haze is more pink or purple than red

With long exposures like this -15 minutes-, you would expect some degree of colour shift. I'd experiment a little to see what would happen, say, at 3 mins or 5?

It addresses the same problem which is probably sensor heat.

Because u have a ] at the end of the first url before = and thats wrong....

Have u tried a selective color to remove magenta from the red channels maybe add a bit of yellow then try to clone in all out.

i have not really tried to fix it that much because i don't like the photo enought to screw around with it... i just wanted to see what was wrong with my camera but the guy on that other forum has the same exact issue in the same spot with the same camera so im gonna say it is common... that's sad though. i hope the d200 doesn;t have that becasue i was seriously considering upgrading to a d200 soon but... i dunno now : /

Your going to find that any camera is gonna have slight issue at 15 minutes of exposure. Many of them show hot pixels which are just a fact of life. Im suprised u used more then 15 seconds for a shot like this maybe 30 to get the sky a bit brighter but minutes?

The deep DoF of the shot shows that he was stopped down quite a bit. Plus the long exposure gives the water that silky look.

As far as the D200 is concerned, I believe Nikon fixed quite a few sensor issues the D70 had.

yeah... i had it at f 22, i believe. i wanted as much to be in focus as possible. maybe i did that wrong... im not sure? but i am glad to hear this is fixed in recnet cameras... thanks everyone for the help
