That could come under the heading of "clip art." I would (usually do) avoid that kind of thing. You are more likely to get a backlash of lowered voted from the anti-border crowd than you are to get someone to raise their vote because the border so significantly enhances the image.
Simpler borders are more popular here -- I've gone very simple (or none) with most of my recent entries, and add a little more for a print image where aspect ratio and sampling issues come into play.
This is just one opinion though ... I don't think there's a completely definite policy. |
