This is just a snapshot - my hubby and our daughter after dinner last night (we'd eaten at a restaurant). I know it's not a technically good photo, but it's fun.

Kelli: that duck shot is terrific!
Kashi: your family portrait is wonderful. Bah on "not a technically good photo." First, it actually is - it's in focus, the lighting is nice, and it's well-composed. And you have a great couple of subjects.
But more to the point, not every shot has to score highly at DPC or anywhere. That's a wonderful "memory-keeper" shot that you and your family can cherish forever.
Happy that my Langy score still at 5.5 something and Pop at 5.0, but was dismayed by my Spinning score:

Luckily the first commenter pointed out that I had a funny sort of border at the bottom...and dang it he's right, I do. I don't know if the file didn't upload fully or if there's something wrong with the card or card reader, but c'est la vie.

Thanks for the comments guys! Skewsme, I didn't do anything to it, just auto levels and USM (and resized). They were begging next to the machine that dispenses pellets to feed them at the children's zoo. They were eating out of my son's hand. He wouldn't get too close so I couldn't get them and him together. (I gave him a fake sick day yesterday so we could go to the zoo, lol).

So.....I get this comment that I guess *could* be construed as helpful....if IMNSHO it wasn't WRONG!!!!!!LOL!!!!

Then......I get this call from my e-mail that I sent answering a call for artists to work with residents at a local retirement community.
I figure I'll get old some time (Tomorrow) and so I can do some hours, and the lady is just effusive in her interest in having me come in and share with her people. (I sent her my DPC Portfolio link as a representative example of my work.)
She said they can't pay much but they would be interested in having me come in and do some workshops on a semi-regular basis.
How cool is that?
I'm doing my first get-together on the 28th of next month and I'm thrilled.
I look at this as an opportunity to do something good as well as pick up a few dollars towards equipment.
I'm looking at this more as fun than a money-maker......I see photo-field trips in the future!
