I just noticed I now have 6 fourth place finishes. Scalvert, who has almost double my ribbons, has 2. What's up with that? Was I born under a bad sign?

Heh, ya, I know it sounds like bitching, but you don't necessarily understand. Even those of us who win ribbons with some regularity always think that each will be our last; never to be repeated again. Human nature has a way of demanding more and more. It's an excellent way to better ourselves, but it is also frustrating. Once I used to be estatic about 6.0 scores, but that evolved into 6.5s, and then Top 10, and Top 5s, and finally ribbons. Rather than look at the specifics of that statement, replace whatever your own goals are and tell me if it isn't true.
I actually found it most interesting as a statistical anomaly.
It is fun, though, to moan about our "problems" now and then. Isn't it?
i dont' have any 4ths....i just have one red....and i am sure i will never see another ribbon because i can't seem to even make it in the top 20 very often....oh well...i just love to shoot!

because DPC is the ultimate judge of you having good photos or not.
cmon man. this is a call for attention. take photos because you like it (which I think you do) and not for ribbons.
I have 3 4ths and 3 5ths, nothing more annoying than those! (including the week of waiting for someone above you to get DQd, hehe)
My scores are so random though, every now and then I just get lucky! Enter enough times and you're bound to get a gem once in a while! :)
