The bookings are in, the photographer has given the basics for airport transfers and accommodation arrangements before, between and after.
Looks like a day in Aberfoyle between the workshops. I don't know what will be arranged photography-wise for that day but if anyone is in the area maybe a GTG could be done - Oct 6 (Saturday).
I hate to see a thread go unanswered, especially after so many bumps. Maybe nobody has taken a photo tour in the U.K. yet. I would also be interested to know how it worked out. If you are the first, then please report back as to how it went.

I wasn't bumping for more suggestions this time. I got a note from the photog today giving more details so I just had to share.

The photographer that led the tour (John McKinlay) is very personable and provides a tour with a balance between photography, vacation and fun. He knows the locations like the back of his hand so gets you to the right places at the right time.
Great pics, Colette! I would love to go to Scotland and Ireland some day. I shall tuck those links away for future reference. Thanks for sharing and glad you had a great time and came back with terrific images!
For the first week there were only two of us plus our fearless leader. For the second week there were only four. Four was the maximum on the second week.
Super stuff, Colette! Scotland was always near and dear to my mother and I hope to go there myself someday. It was nice to have a chance to look at your lovely shots to help me wish to go all that much more!

I'm going home in 09 for a wedding. Think I'll work a few photo trips around the side. I was considering doing a workshop with Colin Prior if I can find one near the time.

My plan for '09 is the Western Isles through Photograph Scotland and possibly Skye again.

Sounds good, if they give you enough time to shoot photos.
I would probably get to involved and get left behind somewhere.
I took a lot of photos on a general bus tour through the Auto Club.
Sometimes the schedule seemed too, restrictive.
I got a glimpse/overview of all the interesting locations.
I then yearned to go back and take more time on specific-spots, I found interesting.
That's what's nice about a tour geared towards photography. You get as much time as you need and no one gets left behind. The only time we had any constraints was when we needed to get to a sunset spot by a certain time. Other than that, we stopped where we saw something interesting and stayed as long as needed to get the shot.
