I am not in the photog business and have no plans to be. That said, however, I would like to have a photographer’s business card (I can think of several good reasons why this might be handy).
My forum search returned too much un-required reading.
Any so-you-want-business-cards-eh? advice would helpful. I should think that there is some nifty online site where you can upload front and back pics at the dimensions they suggest, configure various options, preview the results, and have them send you the resulting cards.
Check out Overnight Prints. I've not used them personally but they are pretty widely recommended with decent prices. They have several different options for creating cards.
My brief so-you-want-business-cards-eh advice would be: don't use Times New Roman, do use a font that's legible and not too gimmicky, make your information easy to read and understand, make it clear what you do but be brief.
So I had an order that I placed with Vista Print just come in today. Boy am I unhappy with it...
The first complaint is that the box it was shipped in had no padding so the box AND therefor the cards are dented.
I pull a couple cards out and they majorly clipped the images. I have cards from two other places. When I compare them side-by-side the other 2 cards are EXACTLY the same size at 2.5 x 3.5. The Vista Prints cards came in at 2-30/32 x 3-13/32.
Now the customer service was good. They're refunding the total order including shipping since the box was dented so bad. Just not the glowing product I've heard from many people here...
I don't know if you'd want to consider it but what I do is purchase some cards from Office Depot or whoever office supply store. Then I use the template in Word and fill in the squares. Using Photoshop and a picture of my own I slap some text on and print them off at work. The printing part is the hardest as you want them to be sufficient quality and color.
$15 for the 200 cards (though some you'll ruin in testing) and the rest is free (since I'm lucky).
They're not the highest quality but they're good enough for me. They you could probably get them laminated but I don't bother.

Oops. I added a half inch there. Should be 2 x 3.5 for standard business cards.
First my business cards the color black was on the front and back with a picture and white text so I ordered the same card from different places first from //www.printsmadeeasy.com and from them I did not like the cards the black actually had a reddish tint/color look on them. And also the paper was not as thick as I like, another thing it was not centered like I had it on the pdf that I sent them.
So next I ordered from //www.overnightprints.com and I was very happy with the results, the color was black on both sides and the text & picture looked great and everything was centered also the thickness or quality of paper was awesome.
VistaPrints business cards are trimmed a tiny bit smaller than the 3.5 x 2 inch US standard, but it doesn't seem to be a problem. They have templates available in several programs, all of which clearly delineate the bleed, trim, and "live area" dimensions.
Right, but their live layout prgram only works properly with IE. Ricardo, the Customer Support guy I talk to says to me, "You don't use Internet Explorer, do you? I could tell because the way the text is cut off... Our live layout only works with IE."

I don't mean to get down on Vista. I think any webiste that doesn't allow ANY and EVERY browser to work properly is short sighted. I run into these sites too often and these sites usually lose my business and receive a scolding email.
