That's a great cloud formation! If you change the colors, you might make it look like there's a meteor or spaceship or something creating that great rift in the stippling.
Did you stop or were you on the move? It seems like about half my good shots are taken through the windshield (not this one) ...
I've been favoring square crops lately for some reason ... interesting that you like the one with basically just a bunch of additional dark blue sky.
