Team 'Dodge & Burn' - Official WPL Thread

Alright, now that the new year is upon us and a new WPL season is just around the corner, I thought I would start the official WPL Season IV thread for team "Dodge & Burn".

We have three returning WPL veterans on the team and four new, but well-established, photographers. The proud photographers that are Dodge & Burn include:

While deciding which of 5 possibles to put in Fences, I thought about if the WPL was running now. Definitely would not have put in the entry I did in a team environment, would have gone with something "safer". Better get it out of my system now, the OOB stuff or ones featuring humor over nailing the theme. ;-)

Yeah, Lynne. I've found out that humor over topic, even if the humor is right on topic, doesn't win too many challenges. If the humor is obvious and international it may score well, but not enough for ribbons.

I just came in 16th with a humorous "AA Battery" entry with a score of 6.2049, but it was not enough for even a Top Ten finish. It was similar to my "Unrelatedness" entry back in October (6.1034 but only 31st in the standings).

Hi guys. I'm back from my longer than expected absence from DPChallenge. Just so we all know...

Season Begins with the Members Challenge announced on Monday, January 29th, 2007; Time 00:00:01 a.m. DPChallenge Server date and time.

Hey team, don't forget the "Fruits and Vegetables II" challenge deadline is tomorrow (Sunday). I just submitted to that one.

If I have time for the other (either Biology or Music), I may do something. I have a few biology-related shots that I took this week, but I may have to resort to shoehorning, which I really don't want to risk doing. :-(

Well it looks like Scott took the WPL site down so does this mean that the WPL is no defunct? I cant find anything on the site about who won or where the standings are. Maybe someone can provide a link. After reading his post I am going to assume that the WPL is in fact gone and season 4 has been stopped?

Not to intrude, but this thread is actually from this morning. WPL doesn't appear to be dead, but it needs a new leader.
