Had a look at this. 12,000 photographs submitted to date Seems like "Jon R. Holmquist" and "Sierra Stock" have uploaded every image they've ever taken!
Funny how clicking on some of the photographs takes you straight to the user's site (useful) but others don't so you get a Google Base page:

At first glance it seems like a very time consuming promotion mechanism.
