We were invited to a new year`s eve lunch a few months back by a good friend of mine that I hadn`t seen in years. He was organizing a pot-luck lunch at his place with a bunch of friends that we both knew while attending university.
We called him this afternoon to double-check if it was still on for tomorrow and for directions to his place. Turns out that the gathering was cancelled since another of my good friends decided to have a boxing day get-together at his place. Since "everyone" was there on boxing day, the new year`s eve lunch got cancelled.
Nobody ever bothered to call us to advise of the boxing day event or the cancellation of the new year`s eve lunch. Christ, we were even in the same town where the boxing day get together happened on Dec 26th. Not even a 10 minute drive away!
It REALLY pisses me off since I was looking forward to seeing friends I haven`t seen in years.
At this point, I am so friggin angry that I don`t want to have to deal with those two jerks for quite a while!
I think what pisses me off the most is that I would NEVER leave anyone hangin' like that. It's inconsiderate and rude!
