i don't usually do this type of public vomiting, but anyway it's new years weekend...
is it really important news that xxxxx is going to die?
i really don't care what politicals think. i really don't care what business men think. i really don't care how the neighbor thinks. sometimes i really don't care what i think.
is xxxx the only one who is going to die on the day of his hanging?
are the other folks who do die less important, influential, rich, deadly, or sarcastic as xxxx?
if we all keep spinning with the spin won't we all get dizzy?
Funny you mention things like this. My mom sits in front of the news and complains about all the bad in the world and what a horrible place it is now. And then complains how the media twists stuff.
But, if I say something about turning it off, she just ignores me or tells me to shut up :-)
In reality, the world is no worse place than it has ever been. It's just that the public is on the verge of sensory overload.
It is important. This one action will change how many people feel about their own homeland and its government - on both sides of the ocean. I for one am shocked and horrified by most of the things xxxxxx did during his reign, but I don't understand their culture well enough to say why his own people didn't stop him.
As for the execution -- its like a train wreck, you don't wanna look, but you can't turn away.
it'll change how they feel about democracy that's for sure !
