Ok well i made a little "macro studio" if you will, its just a cardboard box, 3 sides cut out and replaced with paper to defuse the light, anywho i have a 250w worklight on the left and right side and a desk lamp on the top, when i take pictures (depending how big the object is) in macro mode, or in auto, the pictures tend to have a yllow tinge to them, is this something to do with the lighting, a setting on the camera i can change or something i can correct in PP?
Yes, those tungsten lights do have a yellow tinge. You can use the tungsten white balance setting on your camera, or just fix it when processing, which is pretty easy in RAW.
Ok well i just did it in manual and turned out pretty good, the object i was shooting isn't that tiny so its still in good focus, i have another question, i cant find it in my manual, how do i shoot in Raw?
Oh, just saw this.. I'd like to point out that the color temperatures are different between the halogen lamps and the desklamp with a standard household bulb.
What is likely happening is that auto white balance is detecting the color temp of the desklamp, while the halogen are significantly warmer, causing your "yellow tinge".
