Well at least now it can explore different styles of music instead of boring old whistling. You'd better re-enforce your windows before it starts singing Pavarotti!
I normally use the green channel when B&W a photo, as in most digital cameras the green has the least noise. Unfortunately there wasn't much contrast on the green channel, so I ran the image through a demo of neat image ( //www.neatimage.com/ ). Opened in PS, then in the channel mixer I set the red channel to approx. 120%, green to 0% and blue to approx. -20%. Then auto contrast and slight sharpening.
one thing i dont understand is why you ran it thru neatimage? was there too much noise in the red channel without it?
Same editing but without neatimage. Makes quite a difference :) I think this is because the red and blue are the noisiest channels and setting one to negative and one to positive in the channel mixer increases the contrast between them.
