Does anyone have a good technique/link to an airbrushing tutorial?
Like the way women are made too look like they have perfect skin - almost doll like apperence.
When I am doing it, I usualy duplicate the main layer, apply some guassian(sp?) blur to it, then erase the sharp edges (nose, hair etc) but I am sure there is a better way to do it.

I've not done any model photography myself, so I've never needed to do this kind of editing.
From my brief playing now, I'd say your method is an excellent way to do it. It doesn't take too long, and with an eraser brush that's gradiented towards the edge it works like a charm.
For more detailed work i would suggest a graphic tablet like a Wacom. They're pressure sensitive so you can make a hard or soft stroke depending on the pressure you put on the pen tip.
Tough to learn but once you do people never go back to the mouse.
Ah good point - I was using a Wacom tablet for my test exercise..
Mine is just a cheap Wacom Graphire 1 model, which cost me ~£100 (~$150 US). Believe me - it's improved invaluable over the few years I've owned it.

Incidentally, you do benefit from PS7 with a tablet, because it has much better support. You can still get a lot of value with PS6, or even PSP, etc.

Good value for $100. (I bought mine a few years ago.)
If you want an entry level tablet that's a good quality, well respected make (don't even think of going for some cheapy name, Wacom are the best), this is a great deal.
Neatimage on skin can look good if used very well, but in most cases it gets rid of all texture and makes the people look like plastic dolls, very unnatural and not flattering at all. It's worth learning how to tweak it to get it just right.
