Ok just got it. Want to know pros and cons. I know there are really great cameras that photographers prefer and then there is what we can afford. And there is a big difference! I just wanted to know if anyone has gotten this camera and some tips to taking great pics with it.
The Powershots are a great line. They tend to produce crisp, well-saturated images straight from camera. I'm guessing you won't need much camera-specific advice but with a full set of manual controls, most general photography related techniques will apply. Have you used it much? I'd say test it out and if you're having specific problems, check back.
Well Im not that camera savvy yet. So that is why I was asking if there were pros and cons. I have fiddled around with it some but nothing too extensive. Im still trying to figure out how to change f-stop and what-not. I have to read the manual lol!
I have the A620 (7.1mp). It's essentially the same camera as the 630. I found it took me about two months to get completely familiar with all the manual features.
I've taken about 10,000 photos with it since April of this year.
I found that playing with different subjects in different lighting conditions forced me to learn all the features and the camera's capacities.
So, it's only been nine months, and I'm ready to move up to a dSLR. I'll always keep the P&S though, for its handy size and ease of use.
