Which ones surprised you? Have any top picks end up getting lost in the neon glow?

Show the Neon challenge surprises that you had. Please - not your own, being surprised by your personal result is usually not surprising. :D

Thought for sure these two were ribbon candidates.

Thanks David! I had hopes but 5-1's and 5-2's do not a ribbon make. :-P

<--34th - I thought it had a fantastic vintage 1940s era appeal, a nice sense of time and place in addition to the neon. This was my blue ribbon.

<--24th - Again, conveyed a nice sense of place and time. Loved the reflection in the wet street.

Thanks Barry Glad Dad, I don't think I've ever had a mention in one of these threads before :-)

Anyway, I really liked this shot, it did come 28th, which isn't that bad, but still under rated.

This is one of my favourite neon signs in Chicago. The shot I entered in the challenge is a re-shoot of one I had taken earlier in the year (I'll post this one later today).

It was a PB for me, but I had hoped it would score at least a 6.
