I did my Recipe entry at last minute, and had a couple of ideas - the one I didn't go with is this one:
It's interesting, but I didn't think it was in the spirit of the challenge :)
My other idea for the recipe challenge was to take the idea of 'before, during or after' to its somewhat extreme and do a shot of the dishes soaking in the sink. I tried a couple of shots but couldn't get the lighting right - had I succeeded, do y'all think it would've gotten slammed by the 'where's the food in this' thought process or would've done well for the different interpretation?
Instead I went with a somewhat dull idea as we ate the first (more interesting) one I had made before I remembered to take the photos.
Although it wasn't representing food as in seeing the food I personally would have seen it as being "AFTER" the food event which is outlined in the details of the challenge and had it been good I would have scored it good, interpretation is the great thing about this site so long in my mind as it isn't too loose an interpretation...
I have a picture of my half carved (read: devoured) turkey from thanksgiving, but it was a snapshot and I already entered a garbage shot lately, so time to enter something that is more up to par! Was a beautiful turkey though, and dinner was delicious! I was a hit!
I think they would have deep fried you for the dirty dish idea :)
By the way I love uour sig! Can we all borrow it :)
