Looks like I am going to Oahu on 9 Nov 06 and staying for a week. Visiting family! I may even get a round of golf in.

Woohoo! Have fun! I don't know if you thought of this or not, but I would recommend taking your camera - it might be a good opportunity to take some pics. :)

I just read somewhere that November is suppose to be a great time to take photos of surfers....suppose to get some of the highest waves on Oahu in November on the north shore....

If the waves aren't big on the North Shore always bring your snorkeling gear - it's Awesome on the North Shore as there are big drop offs and the view is spetacular!!!!

If you can... rent a nice piece of glass for shooting surfers at North Shore... at least 400mm

After extreme contemplation I am going to take Art R.'s advice and take my camera! Lense rental is probably out of the question. :-(

This is outside my room. I will post more as the week follows. Having a good time so far. I'll post some of Payton soon. (Art, was I supposed to bring batteries, cards, laptop, flash, tripod also?)
