I got 25 comments on this shot, almost all saying it was too dark! I think that is a record number of comments during a challenge for me, and I would like to thank everyone who took the time to share their opinion!
To me, it represented the lights being dimmed after everyone has left. To the 2 who said they would have liked a subject, after I got home and looked at it on my computer I realized that an empty cup in one of the cup holders would have been great. Unfortunately, there was no way to reshoot.
This was actually taken during a marching band competition at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, and no "professional" cameras (any with a removable lens or a lens of over 4")were allowed by the competition sponsor, so I had to use my P&S. I did try to lighten it a little, but there was so much noise it looked better dark. Anyway, I had fun watching the bands and taking pictures.
