Has any one gotten any of the 2X lens that are advertised for the Olympus C4000 camera ? I've been looking at them to help me bring far away things closer but don't know if they are worth getting. What's your experience been ? They range from $45 to $100 so I'd like to hear about them before I buy. Thanks.

I would probably buy one. The price seems fair.

The ones I was looking at were on ebay.

Beware of buying a cheap teleconverter for the C4000

I purchased a Bower 2.5x tele lens for mine and was horribly disappointed with the quality...the center of the photos were in good focus but the outside was very blurry...

I purchased the Olympus TCON 17 from adorama.com and was pleased with their price, quick shipping and a great quality lens

Ultimately, these are like everything else, you definitely get what you pay for

Welllllll..... I just went and bought one on Ebay. It says Olympus digital optics on the picture so we'll see what I get. Worth a try I guess. Too bad I was so anxious and didn't wait for your suggestion. I'll keep that site incase I have to start again.
