I dont know if anyone has come across any software that can do this, but its worth a shot.
I have two monitors attached to my desktop, and most of the time I am only using one of them, so I want some software that I can throw a folder of pictures at and have it rotate randomly through them on my second monitor.
Does anyone know of any good slideshow programs for just viewing on the computer? I tried picasa already, but it can't randomize multiple folders.
Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.
I just built up a new PC last week. I use nero for most of my CD/DVD burning but my version is a bit long in the tooth so I was looking over the software that came with my new DVD/CD burner and it came with Nero.
To my surprise Nero is getting into imaging as well. I havent had any time to play with it yet but it looks like it may have some decent tools for simple slide whows and such. They do offer a triel version if your interested in giving it a shot.

sorry but i think you misunderstood my question, i just want to run the slideshow on my PC directly from a folder of image files, not burn a DVD full of images for a slideshow. isn't that what nero does? I have a slightly older version of it (6)
PhotoImpact and Photo Explorer have this ability. You can view on screen, package for web, burn to cd/dvd, etc. I believe the Album utility can do it as well.

I could be wrong but im under the impression nero will allow you to create the slideshow which can then be bruned to cd/dvd, viewed from local drive and it appears nero will also build a slideshow for the web. If thats not the case then I appologize.
Somtimes your internet/email provider offers this type of software to it's customers. We use Comcast and they have somthing like this called Photoshow that's free to it's customers. I use it as a screensaver although it does alot of other stuff as well. It's very easy to use. They may sell a version of it or it may be free to everyone, I'm not sure. But I think AOL had something similar way back when I used to use them so I'm sure other providers do to. If that helps any. :)
