It's actually a kinda interesting concept. I definitely don't like the fact that it's PVC, and not a higher grade of plastic. PVC has all sorts of problems, like low strength, low melting point, gets harder and more brittle with age and sun exposure, stiffens in cold temps, the list goes on...
But the bag idea has some merit. The fact that it's compressible means that pressure is balanced, so a small leak is not immediately catastrophic. The clear bag means one can watch for any leak. If (BIG if) I were to use it I'd bag the camera inside it with a thin bag, rubber banded at the lens, and watch it carefully. One thing I'd be careful of is not to fill it with humid air and then take it into cold water. I'd back-fill with dry air from my dive tank. |
