Some songs are great and should NEVER be re-done. What's up with the remaking of the big love ballads from the 80's. Clay Aiken's remake of "Without You" makes me want to forcibly remove my ears with a dull spoon! It sounds like a cat being run over with a lawn mower! It has ruined that song for me forever!!!
Am I the only one? Many people seem to like it! Are they that young or am I that old?
It's pretty terrible. The sad thing is, I can't seem to change the station when it comes on... It's like watching a train wreck... Horrible, but you just can't seem to look away!
there is only one 80's song remake that I was really impressed with and thats No Doubt's version of the song "It's My Life" which was originally done by the English band called 'Talk Talk.'
I'm not a big fan of remakes either. I was in a store the other day and heard a terrible remake of "Go your own way" originally by Fleetwood Mac. I don't know who it was, but it was really bad.
I'm guessing his new album was originally titled "A Thousand Different Ways to Skin a Cat", but they ultimately had to shorten it to "A Thousand Different Ways"... Sound clips from the actual skinnings can still be heard in the song "Without You".
