Hi, I am sorry if this is a bit outside the normal scope of this forum but I dont know where else to post! I have a challenge of a different kind!!
My son is seeking sponsorship for his motor sport activities and wants to create an image of how a vehicle would look with sponsors' logos etc.
Can anyone suggest what sort of software I need to enable me to convert a scanned image of a logo to something like a flat piece of paper that can be turned, curled and rotated as if it was laying flat on the bonnet of a car, or such like?
I have downloaded many morphing type programs and find they really do not fit the bill,
Any suggestions will be much appreciated, even if you can suggest a forum more suited to this kind of thing!
I'm not totally sure but I think you use the liquify tool. This allows you to push and pull parts of your image around to change the shape. This may be a little too extreme for some stuff though. You should be able to change the perspective on the logo then paste it as another layer on the car, then fine tune it as needed. I'm sure there is a very easy way but I really don't know of one and I'm on a system with no photo software.
Shows how little I know about PS! I thought CS was the cut down version of Photoshop that I currently use, and now I find it is the top range expensive version! I am downloadiung a trial version - will I be able to use this? If not, is there a cheaper option to get the result I am looking for?
I think you are referring to displacement mapping, apply the content of one image in such a way that it appears to follow the 3-dimensional contours of the image to which it has been applied.
