299 entries. 43 comments a day and I could get to everybody. I think people are going to get less comments this time out.
This is the first challenge I've entered (woo kind of nervous..) and its also the first time I've given any comments.
I'm very much an amateur so I'm not sure there's much I can offer other than my personal preferences, so I doubt I'll do many comments for that reason more than the sheer volume (though that is daunting)! My technical knowledge is quite slim, I'm still learning as I go myself.
I hope I don't do too poorly though I suspect I'll live if I do. ;)
I seem to be losing ground with every score update -- I may challenge you guys yet!
You obviously started too high - having started at one of my lowest starting points yet I'm slowly creeping up. I know there's aspects of my picture that'll hurt my score but please, I just want to get above the halfway mark :-)
I started at 7 and am crawling my way down into the mid 4s. No bottom in sight...
I'm still awaiting the big 3.00. This is the quickest that I got 78 votes (What's the most votes on a picture in the challenges? Anywhere near 300?) No comments as predicted.
I would like to see the lowest score ,with the most votes, no comments, and tons of favorites. That would almost be better then getting a ribbon ;)
Seems like all of the lowest scores have actual received "10's", "9's", or "8's". I guess it doesn't hurt to be punny(yes,pun)sometimes, but a snapshot.
I would be pretty ironic to see a cat, dog, flower, flag, snapshot, setup, tombstone, insect picture win for "irony".
I took Gordon's advice and waded through a number of the lowest scoring pics. :)
Yes, a few are really bad. But a lot of them were marked low for being off-topic and would have scored much higher in a different challenge. A low score isn't always an indicator of a bad photograph.
