I'm so happy with how my "Where in the World.." shot did!
I submitted this:
..not too long before I had to go to work for the night. I'd shot it 2 hours prior (10 minutes after I woke up) as a very last minute idea and I was so pleased with it that I was sure it'd do poorly.
I wasn't sure if it'd get overlooked since the eye is a little subtle if you're rushing through or if people would just see it as boring since it wasn't in your face or having nifty PP tricks.
I did have a different version that I submitted (before getting paranoid) which was:
The difference is slight.. I adjusted the the bright/contrast on the submitted one to make the leaf veins near the eye brighter and hopefully draw attention there so the eye wouldn't be overlooked. Not sure if it is that significant but it made me feel better. :)
Its now my newest personal best with a 6.372 AND the first time I've been above 20th place!
Well, this is funny... go to my entry and read Steve's comments. Did you go? He talks about how "Dude" the model is! (And his comment is worth reading just for the humor). I don't have an outtake per se, but this collage is the what I was shooting that day... LOL.
