This was the first time using neat image - the first challenge as well as the first shot. question: Did I apply NI properly or would you have liked to see something different?
Personally I am very proud of this image for two reasons: I carefully chose the perspective to shoot from, and I tilted my camera to get the composition I wanted. I was able to achieve exactly what I wanted with no rotation in post-processing. Secondly, I used a new program for this and was able to, without pretty much any knowledge of what I was doing, tweak settings to get a result I was happy with.
So, yay! I am curious to see what others think, though! Thanks in advance. :-)

Looks good, though I think people should blur out license plate numbers when they post here. Anyway, you did not overdo the NI. When I use it, I zoom up as much as it will let me in the photo and then adjust/preview/adjust/preview until I can see that I'm just removing noise and not detail (or not much detail) then I zoom out and do a couple more previews to verify before applying.
Like the angle, like the lighting. Do sort of want to see the left side of the car but it's not a showstopper ;).

Will keep in mind the license plate thing if I ever do a car for an advanced editing challenge, 'cause you have a good point.

But then the glow gets punished by folks who don't realise it can be achieved in basic ....
And kl, I'm no NI pro, but it looks good to me; nice and smooth without loss if detail :)
Well the dodging and burning would get dq'd because it was a basic challenge, but I think what you run the risk of with voters in adding effects like this is you turn off a lot of people. Ok not a lot, or else there'd be some very different photos grabbing ribbons each week, but there are some people who don't get into the heavy processing as much as others. This is a 'cool' looking edit, but the photo just became about the effects and not the car (the subject of the challenge). If you want to make the photo more exciting, shoot something that is more exciting than the car parked on the side of the street. Dropping a few layers of eye-candy on top of it doesn't acheive that goal. That's just my opinion, I'm probably in a minority about it. Not saying it sucks, just offering a different pov. (nor am I saying the original shot was boring ;) ).
Yeah, routerguy, that makes sense. I think as I am not enough of a post processing expert, I won't need to worry about stuff like this for a while, hehe.
