Hi! Just wanted to say what a great site. I've been a lurker for a bit, then finally entered my first challange with "Nostalgia". My entry, Hand Wound, came in 73rd, with an average vote of 5.372--MUCH better than I expected for my first. Thanks!

Anyway, the shot that I wanted to enter was This one. This was created by adding a duplicate layer, desaturating, and then using the eraser tool in Photoshop to only erase the top layer over the movement--obviously against the rules. So, can anyone think of a way that I could have created this image, while still staying within the rules for the challenge?

Your second shot is lovely... unfortunately I don't think there's any way of doing that within the rules... unless you painted the movement a different colour to anything else in the shot, then desaturated all but that colour, and changed the hue, saturation and lightness of that colour to sepia.

You mean physically paint the movement in real life? Ummm...that won't happen. :-) Thanks for the reply though!
