'Life', and 'Nostalgia' and now 'At Rest' - seems to me these are more about communicating a feeling than illustrating a point, and they're producing much more intersting images. Kudos to the council and Admins.
Hmm, interesting take. I've only been through about 40 or so, but they've seemed pretty bland to me. There have been a couple of nice ones so far though. Maybe it'll get better the deeper in I get....
I must agree with scott. Being a new memmebr and all, I am a little dissapointed with the topics. They are too vauge which makes shooting - subject - voting a bit of a lottery.
Nostalgia - dependant on each takers personal feelings, but people vote down becasue they don't see the connection
Life - could be anything, from a bottle of milk, to a tree.
At Rest - again, anything that isn't moving.
Freedom - annoying.
I woudl much prefer to see some better topics, off the top of my head, things like
Furry
Green
Ironic
Streets
High Views
Somthing that makes us all go and get somewhere, get people out of their usual places to take shots outside - inside, somthing that they don't usualy do.
...
One thing, how is 'Ironic' a specific challenge? I'd love to see that one though - the attempts at defining irony in the forums would be hilarious : )
Funny. I was thinking the same line. 'Irony,' here? For sure, every attempt will be made to shoe in each entry through exceptionally long titles. I know I'd have a field day laughing during my downtimes at work...tee hee
