Would this picture need it? Even full size, the face is isnt clear or identifiable.
Also, this if for the first 10 pictures for shutter Stock if that makes any difference

You might check to see if the colors are registered. Many barns do register their colors (jockey silk pattern) and colors are identifiable. Much like a logo. You may not be able to get past that with stock without the Barn's approval.
What dahkota said; other than that, you do not need to have a theme for your submissions - you can upload any number of any kind of photos.
Also, this one will likely be rejected for the lack of detail, even if it passes the model release scrutiny. (And there's always editorial, although there is not much interest for it)

What do you mean lack of detail?
If you mean sharpness, the horse is pretty sharp when it is full size.
I believe a race horse could fall under the category of a property release. The race track (or race commission or whatever their name is) should have more information on how photographs of the races / horses may be used / sold.
Well this was a small track, and every race the Jockey's and horses have different colors, numbers , ect.
So i dont think that would be a problem.
They have different colors because each race the jockey rides for a different barn.
You might not have an identifiable race car driver, but the car is identifiable by its number and paint. You might not have an identifable football player but you can tell the team by his jersey colors.

right. although the location may not be identifiable to the average user, the track IS private property and your entrance ticket more than likely details the usage limitations of photographs taken on the property.
sucks, 'cause i think it's a great shot and i think it's perfect for stock.
Another question, as far as the images for applying goes, what kind of pictures do well?
right now im thinking of doing a couple from the horse track, a couple of the seattle skyline, a picture of the space needle (would that be not allowed?), a pic from the harbor, and a couple from Mt Rainier and Mt St Helens
From what I've seen, Kids, business, and technology do real well. The landscapes and cityscapes are saturated on these sites. Be careful with any reconizable landmark too.
