I'm going on a trip to Spokane, WA next week. I've heard it's absolutely gorgeous up there. Instead of using my little P&S, I wanted to rent a fairly decent camera. Does anyone know of any place that does this?
Check with local shops in your area. THere's a few places that you can rent them online, but I've always found local is typically the best bet. I've looked into it when I was looking to get my 30D, but instead ended up playing with their studio setup and knowing I didn't want to give it back, just bought a brand new one. :)

Spokane is beautiful, have a fun trip, and no matter what you're carrying, have fun.
I've found that for the few times I've needed to rent one that anything more than a couple of days gets to pricey. I figure if I ever need one for more than that it would just be worth it buy one outright.
Costs me $80 a day with a mem. card.

What eckoe said. Unless you're in a small town should be no problem. If you are in a small town, check out what's in Spokane to rent. Google is your bestest friend in the whole, wide, world.
Take a look at the pictures with that camera. It's definately capable of some great shots. Unless you're considering making the leap, I'd just reccomend challenging yourself with the settings on that camera, such as forcing yourself to use the manual settings. It could set you up for a good learning experience, while still having something relatively familliar.

I'm know mine can take some great shots. I do use the manual most of the time. The reason I want to rent one is because I might want to take some shots where the subject is further than 10 feet away. The pictures get extremely grainy when I have to zoom.
