"This image would be purchased for the usage of a CD and promotion material for the CD, poster, print ad etc."

Received this request on one of my images and would appreciate some pricing help. I haven't responded to the email yet and would like to ask the right questions. Thanks.

I don't know anything at all about their client...and don't even know for sure if they'll use mine.

He indicated that he provided his client with a handful of photos for them to choose from and wanted pricing info asap.

There is a program that can help you I think it called stock quote or something like that. It has been mentioned in several forms. Try to google it.

This is different than stock photos. They seem like they want to use your photo for a wide scope of things.

Find out some critical info before pricing.
Are they signed to a label?

If not, they are probably broke as can be because the album itself just cost $1000s. If they are not signed, work out a plan so they can afford it. If they only could afford $200 up front, maybe find out how many CD's are being made and get paid on consignment.

Are they popular anywhere? Where will your cover photo be seen?
Is this really good exposure for you?
Can you land other promo gigs w/ them?
What can they do for you?
