No offence...but this subject is RAW at the moment with many members. And while I know that a ribbon is a ribbon...and that can be exciting...I don't think it is appropriate to gloat over someones misfortune/misadventure (or whatever it is).
I would ask that SC change the title of this thread to something more appropriate.
I don't see how it is gloating over someone's misfortunes. Since the thread is not a personal attack and not discussing Rikki at all really, and is just a showcase for people who've gained the ribbons they deserved I'll leave the thread open.
If it turns into a personal attack however, it will be locked.
Interesting thought Judi. However I think that's misplaced - I would like to see the images and photographers that were cheated out of their rightful small moment of glory.
Fair enough. I made my point...and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I am pleased for the rightful people getting their ribbons...I just don't think the 'Rikki-gate' is called for. But that is not my call so I will back out of this now.

I've changed the title due to quite popular demand. There is no point in pointing out names here...show your new ribbons and move on.
Is Rikki's name going to be edited in all future threads?? This seems very strange almost like the people who were cheated out of the ribbons are the guilty ones. A bit like that Falty Towers episode "Don't mention the war"
Like I said earlier in this thread I'm sure Rikki would have got a laugh out of the thread title.

The title offended a bunch of people, and it's my obligation to make as many people as possible happy. (15 people pissed at the rikki reference in the title, 1 pissed that I edited it) The new title serves the purpose of the thread and I feel that it harms no one by removing it. If you feel like naming names, hop on over to the 'rikki' thread, where you may discuss Rikki till you're hearts content without using personal attacks.
That being said, it's been a long week and we've been dealing with a lot of crap over this issue. Please play nice. I would beg, but I just pulled an overnighter here at DPC to watch the forums and I'm out of energy. (yeah, we even made sure we had 24 hour security in case of riots) That last line is a joke...sort of.

Sorry if I came across the wrong way no personal attack was ever intended. I just thought it a little pedantic to change the title when we all know who we are talking about.
I really do appreciate the situation that all the SC have been put into and think you have done a fantastic job.
