Went to the park for a walk with my kids today and what a great feeling to see the spring flowers out, had to take a photo.

Its time to rise from hibernation :)

Love it - the huge triffid really gives it a great surreal touch with the smaller real versions in the foreground.

What's a "triffid"? We call those flowers daffodils where I come from. Just wondering.

Such a sweet picture; almost convinced me it isn't the END of summer here. :)

Probably a reference to a bad 60's British sci-fi movie called "Day of the Triffids", which is also a novel by John Wyndham. Big plants that moved around and attacked people.

Edit: Just looked it up on imdb.com and the tagline was "Beware the triffids... they grow... know... walk... talk... stalk... and kill!"
