I recently saw a DQ given for "pixel data" in a layer instead of an adjustment layer. I don't currently use PS, and one way to get good wide-area darkening is to create a new layer and paint black where I want the darkening, then set the layer to the transparency that provides the darkening amount I want.
That's "pixel" data, esp. if I don't use pure black everywhere (e.g., a gradient).
So is that legal in either basic or advanced editing? |
